Invitation to the exhibition

Description

This was a quite big exhibition showing the works of the architects that had won a prize in Andalusia between the years 2002-2006. It was commissioned by the Council of Architecture (Government of Andalusia) and they chose the architect Valentín Trillo to be in charge of the design of the space. He chose us to do the graphic design.

The concept

Our graphic idea was a bit critical with contests. The poster resemblances a series of sheets of the cardboard used by architects to show their projects when they send it to… a contest.

Our graphic concept was critical with awards and prizes in architecture & design.

We wanted to highlight that many architects spent many hours working for contests because it was their only way of getting some visibility. In a way, it can also resemblance a texture of a building material. So it was the play between these two what created this poster.

The work included posters, marquees, big format posters, leaflets, information displays with the winning works, videos, and invitations.
